For half a century, Bent Barfod was Danish animated film’s most productive, prizewinning and imaginative experimental image maker. From his drawing board came everything ranging from the matter-of-factly informative over the oddly complex to the utterly far out. The Danish Film Institute has digitalised nearly all Barfod’s extant works and Kosmorama has asked C. Claire Thomson to take a closer look:
